Company History

Established in 1984, Great Wall Motor Company Ltd has grown to be one of the China’s most successful automotive manufacturers.

Great Wall boasts impressive credentials in the production of Utes, with a heritage tracing back to the very first vehicle the company produced in 1995. Today GWM exports to more than 115 countries and regions including Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa, Central and South America, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.

Investing heavily in state-of-the-art technology via a strong research and development program, it’s not surprising that Great Wall Motors is producing highly specified, well-built cars that represent uncompromising value.

Great Wall has recently opened a $5 billion Research and Development technology centre close to its headquarters in Baoding, Hebei. This new facility occupies an area of 260,000 square meters and accommodates 5000 engineers.
